About Me

It's not surprising that I first became interested in photography when my daughter was born in 2006.  That interest turned into a full-fledged hobby as I purchased a professional-grade camera and the equipment needed to take high quality images.  For a time I thought I might only enjoy photographing my own child(ren), but quickly found that I loved capturing those special moments of other children and their families, too.  I knew what it felt like to see that special image and it immediately spark a memory. 

Through the years I have continued to improve through practice, taking pictures for families and friends and for my church, where I worked as Director of Children's Ministries. Even though my focus has been on my work at church, and not having the time to advertise, I have continued to schedule photo sessions locally and in the greater metro area. 

In the spring of 2022, I decided to take the next step and make photography my primary career, immersing myself in the challenges and rewards of preserving special occasions and life-stages for my clients. 

I have an artist's sensibility when it comes to the tasteful choosing of locations and props. I am sensitive to the unique dynamics of photographing children of all ages and temperaments.  I am comfortable in formal settings: weddings and other high-profile events.  I also like to have fun, and my shoots usually include some whimsical shots in addition to the professional standards that are expected.
